Looking back over 25 years of goodness from the Lord, it is hard to imagine what could be better. Reflecting on this, I’m reminded of words that Dad Black said at his 70th birthday party. We were all gathered around; children, grandchildren, daughters and sons-in-laws for the traditional “blowing out of the candles.” Dad Black was a quiet man of few words, but when he did speak, you listened. Dad looked up from the flaming candles with his little grin and said, “Well, I guess that is the end of the good years.” I remember thinking, “oh no, Dad, that’s not true,” but he upstaged my thoughts by saying, “Now begins the great years.”
